Guitar setup and adjustment
Half Setup

For guitar or bass
80,-
( Floyd Rose + 40,-)
Includes complete adjustment for the best possible playability:
truss rod and string height adjustment, bridge adjustment, and fine tuning.
Full Setup

For guitar or bass
100,-
( Floyd Rose + 40,-)
Includes everything from the half setup, plus: cleaning and oiling of the fingerboard, potentiometer lubrication, electronics check-up, and fret polishing.
Bone nut fabrication

80,-
Factory-made plastic or nylon nuts are the most common cause of tuning stability issues.
Plastic is simply too soft, and strings often stick in the slots. When bending, the string doesn’t return smoothly, leaving the pitch sharp.
A bone nut can be made from whitened bone or naturally yellowish unwhitened bone, which suits vintage-style guitars particularly well.
Other excellent materials include Tusq (black/white), graphite (grey), or brass.
Replacement of tuners

From 50 EUR
When replacing tuners, it is important to ensure that the new set fits correctly.
Often new holes must be drilled, existing holes enlarged, or old screw holes patched during installation.
The price for replacement work is always agreed case by case.
Fret jobs
Fret Leveling

170 EUR (Basic leveling) (+60 EUR for fret leveling in a special jig)
If necessary, leveling is performed in a precision jig where the guitar is mounted securely.
The neck is adjusted straight under string tension and in the desired tuning, then zeroed with dial indicators. After string removal, the jig reproduces the same neck tension as before.
This allows fret leveling under simulated string tension, so only the minimum amount of fret material is removed. Thanks to this accuracy, string height can be lowered more than usual without fret buzz.
Fret Leveling – Fall-Away

100,-
Fall-away fret leveling is done from the 12th fret upward, filing progressively more toward the last frets.
Highly recommended if upper-fret bends “choke out,” meaning the note dies because the string hits a higher fret.
This is common on vintage-style fingerboards with a 7.25" radius, and also on many set-neck guitars (e.g. Les Pauls) where string tension at the neck joint creates a hump above the body.
It’s estimated that roughly half of Les Pauls produced since the mid-70s have this issue to some degree.
Neck thickness, wood quality, string tension, and humidity changes all affect its severity.
In the worst cases, the fingerboard must be sanded straight and inlays removed during the process. Because the curve only appears under tension, corrective work (fret leveling, board straightening) must always be done in a jig with simulated string tension.
Fret Replacement, Unlacquered Fingerboard

280,-
(+140 EUR for stainless steel frets)
Typical for rosewood or ebony boards, finished with oil.
Old frets are carefully removed using a soldering iron to heat each fret, with oil and water dampening to avoid wood chips. The board is then inspected for straightness and wear, and sanded if needed.
Slots are cleaned and cut to the correct depth, measured with calipers.
Fret wire is bent to the proper radius, clipped to length, and pressed (not hammered) into place using a radius-matched press tool.
This ensures a precise fit.
Frets are glued with superglue, epoxy, or hide glue. Ends are cut, angled, rounded, leveled, and polished for a durable finish.
Fret Replacement, Lacquered Fingerboard

320,-
(+140 EUR for stainless steel frets)
Removing frets from lacquered boards inevitably chips the finish. Touch-up lacquering is required, and sometimes a full re-spray of the board is recommended.
Agreed case by case.
Fret Replacement, Bound Fingerboard / Set-Neck / Acoustic Guitar

320,-
(+140 EUR for stainless steel frets)
On bound fingerboards, the fret tang is hidden under the binding.
This means every fret must be measured and fitted individually.
Guitar electronics work
Potentiometer Replacement

From 50 EUR
Replacement and other electronics work agreed case by case.
Most common volume and tone pots are kept in stock.
Pickup Replacement

From 70 EUR
Prices vary by pickup type and guitar model.
Final cost agreed case by case.
Pickup Wax Potting

55 EUR / pickup
(Additional pickups +10 EUR each)
Unpotted pickups may have vibrating coil wires that cause uncontrolled feedback at high volume.
If your guitar starts to squeal or howl uncontrollably, especially when played loud, it’s a clear sign that the pickups need wax potting.
The process also protects the delicate coil wire inside the pickup, making it more durable and reliable.
Wax potting is performed by submerging the pickup in a mixture of beeswax and paraffin.
The wax is heated to around 60°C, and the pickups are kept in the solution until no more bubbles rise. It is crucial that the temperature does not climb too high, which is why the mixture is always heated in a thermostat-controlled pot.
Pickguard Shielding

120,-
Pickup and potentiometer cavities in the pickguard are lined with copper or aluminum foil.
Single-coil pickups are highly prone to electrical interference, as their windings act like antennas. Proper shielding can almost completely eliminate the unwanted 60-cycle hum from sources like fluorescent lights.
Modifications and finishing
Neck Profile Modification

From 200 EUR
The neck profile can be copied from another guitar or shaped to custom measurements. Typically measured at the 1st, 7th, and 12th frets. After re-profiling, the neck is refinished as desired.
Guitar Refinishing

From 500 EUR
Includes stripping the old lacquer/paint and refinishing the instrument.
Guitar Relicing (Aging Process)

From 450 EUR
Hardware and finish are aged to the desired level (light / medium / heavy).
