Most commonly used thin metal plates don’t provide proper support and tend to warp when the screws are tightened. A loose joint negatively affects sustain and resonance, and can also lead to tuning instability.
A strong stainless steel plate ensures a firm neck connection and maximum sound transfer from neck to body.
