GAS Viva La Prima Black – Vintage attitude, gold hardware and just three kilos of weight

The GAS Viva® La Prima Black is a striking Finnish-built offset guitar that combines carefully selected tonewoods, modern playability and a strong vintage-inspired aesthetic. Weighing approximately 3.03 kg, it feels exceptionally light and comfortable both on stage and during longer playing sessions.

The body is made from two pieces of roasted pine and finished in gloss black nitrocellulose lacquer. The heavily aged surface gives the guitar the look and feel of a well-played instrument with decades of character, while the gold hardware and brass control plate add a refined visual contrast.

The neck is made from roasted hard maple and reinforced with carbon fibre for added rigidity and stability. Its Viva Vintage Even C profile, combined with a compound 9.5″–12″ radius, gives the guitar a comfortable and familiar feel across the entire fingerboard. An AAA-grade Indian rosewood fingerboard and 22 Jescar EVO Gold frets complete the package both visually and in terms of playability.

The pickups are GAS Firebird units, measuring 7.0 kΩ in the neck and 8.2 kΩ in the bridge. A simple Volume/Tone layout, CTS 300k pots and a Switchcraft 3-way toggle keep the controls straightforward, reliable and stage-ready.

The gold ABM bridge with brass saddles, ABM tailpiece and aged gold Gotoh SD91 tuners form a premium hardware package that fits the guitar perfectly. A black Bakelite pickguard, gold MOP position markers and the brass control plate complete its unmistakable boutique character.
