GAS Viva La Prima Heritage Cherry – Lightweight boutique offset with Lollar P90 character

The GAS Viva® La Prima Heritage Cherry is a Finnish-built offset guitar weighing just 2.86 kg, combining carefully selected materials, modern playability and classic boutique aesthetics in a highly distinctive package. The Heritage Cherry finish, black Bakelite pickguard and gold hardware give the guitar a striking presence without ever feeling excessive.

The body is made from two pieces of roasted swamp ash and finished in Heritage Cherry Open Grain with gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The open-grain finish allows the natural texture of the wood to remain visible, while the Relic Ready treatment gives the guitar the opportunity to age naturally through playing.

The neck is made from roasted hard maple and reinforced with carbon fibre for added rigidity and stability. Its Viva Vintage Even C profile, combined with a compound 9.5″–12″ radius, provides a comfortable playing feel across the entire neck. One of the most special details is the fingerboard, made from Indian rosewood over 50 years old. 22 Jescar FW55090-S frets, White Pearloid position markers and Luminlay side dots complete the refined and highly playable setup.

Electronics are handled by a pair of Lollar Staple P90 pickups. The 8.7 kΩ neck pickup delivers an open and nuanced voice, while the hotter 14.2 kΩ bridge pickup adds more punch, midrange presence and bite. Together, the two P90s offer a wide dynamic range, from clear and airy clean tones to more driven and authoritative rock sounds.

The hardware package leaves little room for compromise. The ABM 2504 bridge and ABM 3020 tailpiece are made from bell brass and finished in lightly aged 24K Gold. Gotoh SD91 Gold tuners, a raw brass control plate, gold Schaller S-Locks and quality CTS and Switchcraft components complete the premium specification.
